Club Guidelines We would like to draw your attention to the following guidelines and club rules that will hopefully make your walk as safe and enjoyable as possible. Members are required to bring adequate gear to meet adverse weather conditions that may be encountered in the mountain environment. The following is a list of the recommended gear: Suitable boots Members join in club outings at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety. Members accept that hillwalking and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Members must be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement. All walks in our calendar are graded according to the following scale: Short : usually a low level walk, normally of 6-8
