You are all very welcome to our Brand new web site. We are a group of young people from Sligo, Ireland who are all very interested in the Internet and the media in general.

Over the last while we found that although there was a wealth of information relating to both Sligo Town and County on the net, there was no one place in which the information we wanted was easily accessible unless you had the time to trudge through the various search engines.
Even the existing Sligo portal sites (some of which are excellent I might add) are not, we feel exploiting the internets full capability and potential for local internet users.

As a result, we decided to create sligotoday.net. We plan to bring as much information about Sligo on the net right here to this one portal site including:

• A frequently updated local news and weather service with links to the latest local and national media internet sites.
• A Virtual Entertainment section to allow you plan your night out. If a venue is on the web, it's on Sligotoday.com!
• A Comprehensive sports page that will enable you to keep up to date with your local sport and sports results when and wherever you want.
• An in-deapt travel and accomodation servive with links to the major travel companies and accomodation providers. 

Of course, this is only the beginning. If there is anything that you would like to see on the site or any articles that you would like to submit, do not hesitate to respond. Again, we hope that you enjoy the site.
