SOVEREIGN GRAND INSPECTOR GENERAL (Seventh Degree) Degree and Office, Executive Members of this Degree are representatives of the X°. They are entrusted with the executive duty of inspecting all Lodges and Chapters of the Order; in particular, with the duty of ensuring that the Bye-laws and practices of Lodges and Chapters are not contrary to the laws, aims and principles of the Order. They report to the Tenth Degree on the condition of all Lodges and Chapters: to the Supreme Council on all affairs of the Lovers Triad: and to the Electoral College on all affairs of the Man of Earth Triad. PRINCE OF THE ROYAL SECRET Degree The primary concern of this Degree is the representation of the Order and its principles to the world at large, and the recruitment of new members. They are as it were 'recruiting sergeants' and are under the supervision of the Supreme Council. GRAND TRIBUNAL Body, Judicial Composed of all the members of the Degree of Grand Inquisitor Commander. Responsible for the trying of members accused of offences against Order Law. Responsible for the final composure of disputes between parties within the Order, failure to abide by which entails expulsion. The members who will preside at any one trial are determined by rote drawn up previously. When numbers permit, each province should have its own standing division of the Grand Tribunal; those provinces that do not must perforce draw upon those of its members as have no provincial commitment. GRAND INQUISITOR COMMANDER Degree and Office Sworn to the pursuit of Justice. Automatically entitled to a seat on the Grand Tribunal. REGIMENTS OF THE SIXTH DEGREE Bodies, Military Composed of the members of Sixth Degree, and affiliated either to a Commandery or to a specific Sovereign Grand Inspector General. Headed by a Captain appointed by the Supreme Council, ordinarily on the recommendation of the local Commandery. When numbers permit, the Tenth Degree shall have a personal Regiment to serve as honour guard. KNIGHT KADOSCH or DAME COMPANION OF THE HOLY GRAAL (Sicth Degree) Degree and Office, Executive, Military Represent the temporal power of the Supreme and Most Holy King/Queen. Each must therefore possess material power, which need not be martial in its nature. Each Knight or Dame is vowed to enforce the decisions of authority, singly or in concert with his/her comrades. They have the standing duty to keep discipline within the Order, and to act as a police force within it, both upholding the laws from within and protecting the membership from assault from without. They are sworn to defend the Order and its true secrets to the last drop of their blood. |
