The Man of Earth Triad

" The Third Triad consists of the degrees from Minerval to Prince of Jerusalem. The Minerval degree is a Prologue to the First; the degrees subsequent to Third but pendants to it. In this, the Man of Earth series, there are then but Three Degrees; and these Three are One.

These Degrees are intended as a Series, and only to be fully appreciated when taken as such. They can be considered as the 'Biography' of the Man or Woman of Earth; consisting of a prologue or introduction, three chapters and two appendices. By analogy one may read the introduction and decide whether or not the style of the book is to your liking, but if one chooses to continue one must read to the end to fully understand its import.

These degrees are performed in a Lodge, which is a local body of O.T.O.F., run by a Master or Mistress of at least Third Degree, with the assistance of a Treasurer and Secretary, who act as advisors and accept responsibility for the financial and secretarial duties of the Lodge. The Master or Mistress is also authorised to perform initiations up to and including Third Degree. The activities of the Lodge provide an example of the principles of the Order put into practise, manifesting the principles of Peace , Tolerance and Truth to the utmost, Cultivating a climate of amity, frankness and honesty which will assist all it's members to discard old hindrances and form a clearer judgement of their own True will and Nature. Other activities of the Lodge are largely left to the discretion of the Master or Mistress concerned, but will include work to ensure the social welfare of it's members, and may include social gatherings, study groups, ritual work, lectures etc. according to the needs and requirements of the individual Lodge. Each Lodge will also set it's own Level of Dues to cover the costs of it's activities.
