Degrees and Offices of the Order

OHO

Office

May be appointed from any Degree, including Minerval. Holds final responsiblity for the continuity of the Order. Is the ultimate reference point on any question of doctrine within the Order. Has sole right to authorise changes in or additions to the texts of Initiation.

The identity of the OHO is known to none save the International Secretary, the International Treasurer, the members of XI° and the members of X°.

The successor to this Office is chosen by the current OHO by a method not declared. The OHO will also make written provision in case of emergency, that the succession may not be broken. The term of appointment is for Eleven Years only. No person may hold this office more than once in their lifetime. Past OHOs become Non-Executive Trustees of the Foundation. While there are fewer than five X° in the Order, the Non-Executive Trustees shall have One Vote in the Council of X° when the removal of the current OHO is the matter being voted upon, and shall wield no other powers in the Order besides this.

ELEVENTH DEGREE

Degree and Office (Extraordinary)

Answerable to the OHO alone. Beyond that, nothing is said concerning the nature or function of this Degree.

TENTH DEGREE (Supreme & Most Holy King/Queen)

Degree and Office, Executive

Holds ultimate responsibility for all within his/her Holy Kingdom.

May amend any National Law or Byelaw or Scale of Fees and Dues, or allow the same to be amended by due process, but may not alter or amend the Constitution, nor any Manifesto that has been approved by the OHO.
