Parents’ Association

The Parents’ Association works closely with the school management for the betterment of the pupils. All parents/guardians of the children attending St. Anne’s are deemed to be members of the association and may volunteer to join the association’s committee.

he aims of the Association are threefold:-

  1. To foster co-operation between parents/guardians, teachers   and school management;

  2. To keep parents/guardians informed of developments in  education   and in the school;

  3. To represent the views of parents/guardians.

The Association is affiliated to the National Parents Council- Primary Division(NPC-Primary) which is the umbrella organization for all parents associations in the country. The NPC-Primary gives access to parents/guardians to advice and information on national developments in education. They also have a voice in the decision making process through consultation with the Department of Education, the Management bodies and teachers’ representatives.

Included in the work of the Association are the parties and other social events organized for the children, events for adults(e.g. Golf Fun Day), production of a newsletter, provision of evening lectures for adults on a varying range of topics and involvement in the graduation and other ceremonies. Notes will be sent home to let you know of upcoming events. The AGM is arranged in Autumn.

Parents are encouraged to become involved in the work of the Association either by joining the committee or by offering your help to run the events they organize. Comments and ideas are always welcome and should be placed in the suggestion box in the school secretary’s office. You can also contact them on the internet.
