School history

St.Kenny  national school was opened in 1980. This was an amalgamation of 3 small schools from the area. These were Glascorn, Walshestown and Ballinea.

The first principal in 1980 was the late Mr. Frank Conway and there were 5 teachers in the school.

Today there are 12 teachers and with classroom assistants and special needs assistants ,this makes our school a very busy place these days.

In the year 1999 we had 3 new classrooms added to the school.
