Skerries Town Map

The map file is .pdf format so you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view it. If you have not already got it, you may download the Reader at no cost.

How?
Just click Adobe Acrobat here to go to their Download Page, and scroll down to the bottom of that page, complete the form and click DOWNLOAD. The program file is over 9 Mb and will take 40 mins on a 56kb modem working well - and much longer if the network is busy. However it is worth having as .pdf files are quite frequently on the web and often contain in-depth information.
( Don't take a "text only" version if you wish to see the map.)

When the Reader is installed return to this page and click "Skerries Town Map" above. The map is A3 size and it may be necessary to adjust the "zoom" to 200% for best viewing. Also the file is rather large (390 kb), and you may wish to save it to a folder on your own computer, so you will not have to go online to view it. Printing is another option, possibly using landscape format on two A4 sheets.

The file contains the town map as of January 1997. A joint exercise between Skerries Community College transition year pupils, and DIT's Department of Geomatics will, this year (2001-02), update and produce a new map.

Many thanks to Kevin Mooney of DIT (Bolton St. College) for making the map available to us.
