We began our quest for a Green Flag in 2007. In May 2008 we were awarded our first Green Flag for Waste Management and in April 2010 we were awarded our second for Energy. We are currently working towards our third Green Flag for water conservation. Our Green Schools Committee consists of 3 teachers: Ms. Kildea, Ms. Clinton and Ms. Smith. 18 pupils from 3rd-6th class (Senior Committee) 10 pupils from J.I.-2nd class (Junior Committee) Mrs Mc Kernan (Board of Management representative) Liam Molloy (Caretaker)

Our Day of ActionOur Day of Action took place on February 10th 2012. This Day of Action is part of our application for our third Green Flag for our work on conservation of water. Our Green Schools committee encouraged pupils to guess the number of litres of water that various household activities use.

We had a magnificent display of art work and projects in the school hall First class conducted a Water Audit of their homes. They displayed their findings on their H2O House!
