Cúchulainn Dies

After the battle, Cúchulainn went home for a rest. His wife, Emer, looked after him. Maeve was very angry with Cúchulainn and she wanted to kill him. The children of her wizard made magic spears to hurt Cúchulainn.

Cúchulainn Sets Out

Cúchulainn left home to defend his lands. One magic spear killed his chariot driver. The next magic spear killed his horse. The last magic spear went into Cúchulainn’s side. He lay against a stone. A raven flew down and lay on his shoulder. His enemies knew then that he was dead.
