SolicitorsThe Earleys were a farming family, but moved on to become solicitors and barristers. It was around this time that Helena decided that she wanted to become a Solicitor. She was elected auditor of the Solicitors’ Apprentices Debating Society around the year 1921/1922. She became the first female Solicitor in Ireland. The firm in which her family had established is still in operation today. This was confirmed when we made a telephone call to Earley Solicitors on Burlington Road.
