of Old Mill
There was a Mill on this street
powered by the waters of the River Ward. The mill was owned by Pentonys, and
oats and corn were ground in it until the early 1940s. The mill-house was
demolished in 1953, and this site is now the location for the Castle Shopping
Centre.
