Post Primary Transfer

Congratulations to the pupils who sat the assessments for the post primary schools in the Swords area, and every good wish to those pupils who have still to sit assessment tests.  In view of the fact that Coláiste Choilm (CBS) operates a waiting list system, it is important for parents to register their son(s) if they wish them to attend that school. The other post primary schools (St Finians and Fingal Community Colleges) in the Swords area accept applications when the pupils are in 6th Class. If parents wish to send their sons to schools outside of Swords, it is necessary for parents themselves to make contact with these schools.

Gaelic Football and soccer trials have been held during the past fortnight. The coaches are very hopeful that the school teams will acquit themselves well. The Cross-Country teams continue to thrive.

Swimming

Swimming continues for the pupils in Third Class. We are very grateful to the parents who have assisted with supervision at the pool. Swimming is now an element of the primary school curriculum so it is essential that all pupils avail of this opportunity to be coached in the techniques of swimming.
