A Happy New Year to all members of our school community. A number of initiatives are being planned for the coming weeks.

Fund Raiser for Haiti

Some of the pupils have expressed an interest in doing some fund-raising for the people of Haiti. Many people may have already contributed to collections, but this initiative is to raise awareness among the pupils. A no uniform day will be held on Friday, 5 February and all monies raised will be donated to Concern.

Swine Flu Injection

The swine flu injection will be available for the pupils on Friday, 5 February.

Mobile Phone Donation

As part of the successful Green Flag campaign, the Jack and Jill Foundation will donate to the school an interactive whiteboard if 300 mobile phones are collected.

Text a Parent Scheme

We are compiling a list of parents’ mobile phone numbers and email addresses so that contact can be made by text or email in the event of an emergency. This note is intended as a reminder to any parent who may not yet have sent in this information.

Gaelic Football and Soccer Training

The teams have begun to practise for the new season. The assistance of parents and guardians will be very much appreciated with regard to transport to and from the matches. Further details with regard to fixtures will be given as soon as they become available.
