40th Anniversary

The 40th Anniversary of the establishment of our school has been a very fulfilling one for our school community. In addition to the normal routines of a school year, some notable events have occurred and exciting initiatives have been undertaken. We thank Bishop Raymond Field for celebrating and preaching at the Anniversary Mass, and we congratulate the boys for the very prayerful and respectful manner in which they responded to the liturgy.

Year Book

Work on the Year Book has been ongoing since the start of this year. This is the most ambitious publishing project which has ever been undertaken by our school. Included in it are photographs of every class, articles from pupils in every class, articles by distinguished past pupils, poetry, jokes, riddles, trips down memory lane, some archival material, art work and much, much more. It is entirely in colour and will be available from Wednesday, 21 June at the very reasonable price of €12.  Parents / pupils / past pupils who wish to reserve a copy are asked to send the money to the school as soon as possible.

The second major undertaking is the Art Exhibition and this will be held on Wednesday, 21 June.  Every pupil in the school will have a piece of art work mounted and displayed. Details with regard to viewing times will be given as soon as they become available. We thank the following businesses whose kind contributions have defrayed some of the expenses incurred in the mounting of the art work:

  • Swords Hardware
  • Rock’s Undertakers
  • The Pavilions Shopping Centre
  • The Educational Company of Ireland
  • Evans
