The Capitation Grant which is paid to schools to defray costs such as heating, cleaning, electricity etc. has been reduced during each of the past 3 budgets. The Board of Management and Parents’ Association have addressed the implications of these cut-backs, and it has decided that it will be necessary to organise 1 fund-raising event to ensure that all costs can be met during this school year. There will be a Sponsored Walk on Sunday, 9 June 2013. Details with regard to arrangements will follow at a later date. Change to Mainstream Staffing in 2013/14 Due to a slight fall in the numbers of pupils, there will be 1 less mainstream class in the school for the new school year. The practical impact of this reduction will be that there will be 1 Second Class, 1 First Class and a combined First/ Second Class. More details of this change will be issued in May 2013.
