Post Primary Transfer

Pupils who intend to transfer to Coláiste Choilm (CBS) at the end of Sixth Class should obtain application forms from Coláiste Choilm because they apply a waiting list policy with regard to the processing of applications. Fingal and St Community Colleges have already sent forms for pupils in 6th Classes in our school, and these forms should be returned directly to the schools in question. Application forms for any other post-primary schools should be obtained directly from the schools.

Educational Welfare Act and School Attendance

A significant number of our pupils (68) was absent for 20 or more days during the last school year.  The attention of all parents is drawn to the need for pupils to attend school regularly, and it is particularly important that family holidays and outings are arranged during official breaks from school and not during term time.

Re-Cycling

Fingal County Council has advised the school that with effect from 1 January 2005, it will be necessary for the school to become involved in re-cycling. This may mean that arrangements may have to be made with regard to the disposal of foodstuffs /milk cartons etc. Parents will be informed as soon as additional information is obtained.

Thank you very much for your support and co-operation, and every good wish for a peaceful and productive year. Ní neart go cur le chéile.
