Sponsored Jog

The jog was held on Friday, 25 September 2009. We thank the pupils and families who contributed the sum of €8,500. This represents a 23% decrease on last year’s amount, and is a reflection of much harsher economic times for all members of our school community.  The raffle for pupils who have contributed at least €10 as a result of the jog will be held on Friday, 23 October 2009. The sum of €3,000 was collected as a result of the bag pack, and we acknowledge with gratitude the work done on this initiative by the pupils, their families and the members of the Parents’ Association.  This will go a long way towards meeting the short-fall from this year’s jog.

Transfer to Post-Primary Schools

·         Most of the pupils in our 6th Classes have now obtained places in post-primary schools for the school year, 2010-11. With regard to St Finian’s and Fingal Community Colleges, application should be made when the pupils are in 6th Class. Colaiste Choilm uses a booking system so it is important for parents to make application for their sons as soon as possible, irrespective of the class in which the boys are at present.
