23 March, St. Colmcille’s Soccer team played Skerries at home.
Skerries took tip off and Colmcille’s won the ball quite easily. Dylan
McGlade scored an early goal but was disallowed because he was offside.
Just a few minutes after Colmcille’s took the lead, and scored another
shortly after. Then Skerries slipped through Colmcille’s defence and
scored a goal. At halftime the score was 4-1 to Colmcille’s. When the
second half began Colmcille’s scored straight away. Then a few minutes
later the left-mid Gavin Purcell lobbed the keeper with an exquisite shot.
The match was really good and the score at the end was a very, very good
ending result for the Colmcille’s side. 7-1 was the score at the final
whistle.
