About Me
My name is Mick Burke - Tiny to my friends and associates.
I was Born in 1960 in Templemore , Co. Tipperary, Ireland. I now live in Newbridge, Co.Kildare with my wife Noreen. I have lived in Newbridge since I joined the Irish Defence Forces in 1978.

After joining the Defence Forces I was posted to the CIS Corps (formerly Signal Corp). I served in this Corp until 1997. I am presently attached to the Military Admniistration School - Computer Training Wing - as an OIS Instructor.

I also provide one-to-one computer training, design databases and create websites. See my links page for links to the web sites that I have been involved with.

I have completed 8 tours of duty in Lebanon with the United Nations (U.N.I.F.I.L). My first tour was in 1979 with the 47th Infantry Battalion, Stationed in Camp Shamrock, Tibnine. (Click here to see details on UNIFIL )

In 2008 I was part of the Framework Nation, Taskforce Centre, KFOR, where the Irish Defence Forces were the lead nation and in command of taskforce centre KFOR. Kosovo.
