The Haunted Hotel

One Halloween night my family and I were going to meet my Uncle Jimmy at a hotel. My family did not where they were going. I said we have a map. Eventually we came to the hotel.

We went in the door. We saw this creepy old man. My family and I went over and said we are looking for a man named Jimmy Molloy. The old man said he is not here.

We asked, “Is this the Nesbitt Arms Hotel?” He said, “Oh yes”. He said, “Would you like to stay?”  We said, “Yes”. He said, “Follow me upstairs”. My sister, the cat and I slept in the same room. There was a little hole in the wall with a cage door over it for the cat. We were very scared. My cat went down this tunnel. The cat heard a man and all the pictures came alive. The cat went back up the tunnel and told my sister and I. We went into Mum and Dad’s room and told them to come with us. They came. We were walking down the stairs when we saw a ghost. I thought Uncle Jimmy wasn’t there. I thought he had been killed by the old man. We went and hid under the table. The man went away and we looked in the reservation book. Uncle Jimmy’s name was there. I said, “He has been killed by that old man”. The man came and we found out that he was Dracula.

The cat and I went outside and we heard a car coming. We ran back in and it was Uncle Jimmy. We went home and never came back to the haunted hotel again.

HOW THE MAID SAVED THE DAY

Long ago at the bottom of a castle lived a dragon. It was no ordinary dragon because every night at midnight, it turned in to a boy. But one night when the maid came down to feed him and saw that he was a boy. The maid got a terrible fright. The maid was so happy she could help because she knew a spell. Right then the king came. When he saw him he gave him some advice. The king knew what to do because he himself had the same done to him. So that night the dragon was let free. The king and maid went to fight the witch and get rid of her once and for all. First they got all the things for the spell. So the boy got some sleep to get courage for the fight. At midday they left because the witch was always in bed at that time. It was only a couple of miles from the witch’s house. When they got to the witches house the king and maid let themselves in very quietly. When they got inside they took off their shoes and burnt them so that she would lose her power. Suddenly all the people and the witch had turned in to dragons and then suddenly they all turned into people and they all lived happily ever after.

The Haunted House

One dark and spooky Halloween night up on a hill there was a huge house where three witches lived. The witches only came out at Halloween to make nasty spells. Many people had tried to buy the house but the witches scared them away every time. The witches’ names were Lisa, Jane and Margaret.

Margaret was the boss witch. She told the other two what to do. She always thought that she was so beautiful but everybody else thought that she was as ugly as you could get.

That Halloween night the three witches decided to go around all the houses to see could they find anything for their spells like frogs’ legs or children’s fingers. Suddenly they stopped outside a house with a child in it called Sam. They sneaked into the child’s bedroom where she lay sleeping in her bed. The witches put a spell on her so that she would sleep heavily until they brought her back to their house. When they reached their house, they woke the girl. The girl screamed. The spell was very dangerous without children’s fingers, it could kill a witch. Sam was not ready to cut off her fingers so she got the cauldron and tipped it over all three witches and the witches died and Sam got home.

Some people say that their spirits still roam the ruins of the old house today.

Reduce Reuse Recycle

Reduce, reuse, recycle,

It’s as easy as riding your bicycle,

Put litter in the bin

Because littering is a sin,

So reduce, reuse, recycle.

                The Unexpected

It was a hot, sunny Saturday afternoon when Paul decided to take advantage of the good weather and go to the beach. He packed a football, sun cream, drink bottles and his mobile phone into his beach bag. He walked a couple of miles to the beach.

When he reached his destination he sat down for a moment and sipped his cold, icy water. Suddenly Paul saw a large creature bury itself in the sand and slowly crawl under a rock opposite him. Cautiously he groped about in the sand with his finger tips. Within seconds a crab with razor sharp claws crawled out quickly from under the rock. Paul screamed incessantly in agony as the crab clung to his fingers. With sheer determination Paul vigorously shook his hand and eventually the crab flew off through the air. There was a trickle of blood running from his finger. As the crab crawled under the rock from which he came out of Paul started to weep. He removed his towel from his beach bag and gently wrapped it round his injured hand. He called his Mum on his mobile and asked her to come and pick him up at the beach. After five minutes his mum arrived. Paul felt overjoyed to see his mum and had learned that you should be careful of the unexpected……………….

Snow

Snow flakes falling softly,

On the ground below,

Jack Frost comes quickly,

And freezes all the snow.

Children playing happily,

Sliding on their sleigh

With their hats, scarves and gloves

To keep cold hands away.
