A Patrick McGONNELL, Labourer, emigrated to Canada in 1833, Port ofBelfast. A list of the names, ages, professions or occupations ofall the Passengers on board the Brig Dorcas Savage of Belfast, JohnLemon Master. Witnessed at the Custom House, Belfast, on April 4,1833. This could be a lead on the genealogy of this family. The Fayand McGonnell families were from Co. Monaghan in Ireland, and Belfastwas the closest port to their home. McGONNELL was a Co. Monaghanversion of McCONNELL, and this was the generation that emigrated toCanada.
E. Viola McGonnell wrote: "I only know my grandfather's name was Owen[McGonnell], and his father married a Faye or Fay. The rumor was hewas a gardener at the Faye residence, which leads me to believe theFayes were landowners."

Sevellon felt Ambrose and Hattie Scott could better care for him so
