[821] Family says they were "Boghill people". There is a townland nearKillycoonagh named Boughill. A storm lifted their roof off and theymoved to Kearney's Island, which is toward Annakilly, a right turnnear Clones, Co. Monaghan. The boggy area may have made the locationinto a sort of island, though it doesn't seem to exist today.
James / John was also said to be a steward (ie. caretaker) of theBallinure House & estate, near Clones. This may explain how hisgrandaughter McGuinn got a job there when she was about 16/17.

[731] His father designated him Robert the 2nd when he agave him 90 acres
near the foot of Drum hill in 1729-30. He "entered a dun steer" 10
January 1736-37. He resided at Drum Hill in 1756 and ws in that
locality in 1771 when, as Robert Stuart, 2nd, he bought a house on
Drum hill in Norwalk for his son Isaac. Several of his children were
baptized in the Wilton Church.

[629] Silas served in the Revolutionary War. He was a fifer in a CT unitunder Captain Peter Parot/Perrit, 9th company of Col. Charles Webb's7th Regiment at Milford. Silas was discharged on Dec. 10, 1775, butreturned to serve in 1776. His Will, approved Apr. 16, 1812, waswitnessed by Matthew Judd (his brother-in-law) and 2 others.

[635] His birth is recorded in the Congregational church in Wilton,according to the Stewart Clan Magazine, 1927.
