Apologies for the delay between updates. Life's been turned upside down since last update and just getting a handle on it now....kinda. 2 new jobs, new house and an engagement have all added to the stresses and strains. However we'll soldier on. I've taken over the bookings at the Stables venue in Mullingar (www.stableslive.com) so that will limit my no ego activities somewhat but as much as I can I'll continue to try putting on gigs locally and helping people out. We have some amazing gigs coming up in Septmeber though so et your hands on tickets for them asap. Scroll down for all the latest....

A confused and shy individual, Charlie Parr plays original and traditional folk and Piedmont-style blues, accompanying himself on National resonator guitars, 12-string guitar and sometimes a banjo. Parr has failed at most things in his life. Music seems to have rendered him unemployable and is the only thing he's ever done with any confidence. A lot of folks have been saying nice things about Charlie, despite the lingering odors and indecipherable comments he makes. It says a lot about folks; they're hanging in there with him, in spite of himself.

This will be Charlie's 3rd time at Skelly's and each time has been superb. This should be an amazing night.

Poster Runs - People needed in Athlone, Mullingar & Longford

If there is anyone out there in Athlone, Longford & Mullingar that wants to earn some extra cash by taking an hour out of your week and putting up posters in these towns anytime no ego has a gig could you please email us here at noegopromotions@eircom.net. This is one aspect of promoting that needs attention as it is nearly impossible for us, with work and all, to get to these towns when the good vantage spots for posters are open. You will be looked after and any interest at all even if its only now and again would be great.

Any new acts??

Any new local acts that are looking for gigs make yourselves known and we’ll do our best to slot you in at some gig. Especially looking for local acts to play at the acoustic showcases so if you can play even a short set and would like an opportunity to play in front of a live audience contact us and we’ll sort it out.
