Evil Elviss - This Is An Experiment E.P. ne003

(16/04/2004)

Local Punkers Evil Elviss finally get around to putting something on CD. Over 2 years in the making, this is a rough demo of 10 original songs from their career so far. Recorded in a marathon one night recording session in Brian's shed fuelled by lots of drink and many smokes and roughly packaged and released within a few days. Their tunes vary from ska to old school punk. It is hoped that a proper recording will take place before the summer is out. For copies, see the contacts section or distro section.

belling classic twin ninety - fragments demo

(11/07/2003)

Local acoustic 3 piece b.c.t.n., featuring ex-members of the very popular local group E-Bow, recently released their debut demo on CD-R. Containing 3 tracks recorded at the local 'The Reverb Room' its a strong debut from a relatively new band that have only got a few gigs under their belts. Somewhat scrappy live this shows that they're getting their stuff together and hopefully more recordings will be along soon. For a proper review see the next issue of our zine. For now if anyone wants a copy of this just e-mail me at noegopromotions@eircom.net and I'll arrange for you to get a copy. €2/3 should suffice I'm sure. The track listing is thus: 1. as you passed by me. 2. and the gods loved you. 3. in your darkness.

The Hoodlums - Death of the Moustache ne002

(14/02/2003)

Local rock group the Hoodlums released their debut demo on no ego records in February 2003. The second release on our label it contained 4 raw songs of youthful energy and showed a very young band coming to terms with their instruments and heading in the right direction. The track listing is as follows Lost Days, Awake, Fallen Whispers & The Desert Song. Echoing bands like the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Queens of the Stone Age mixed with some of the Brit-rock era bands it recieved favourable response from the local music scene when it was released. Their are limited no's of this release left for €3. See the Contact us section.

No Ego Records Compilation cassette ne001

(17/03/2002)

no ego zine - Issues 1 & 2

To date we have put out 2 zines. Issue 1 was released in the Summer of 2002 and featured an interview with Muse and local sculptor, Scooby, as well as live reviews from the US and Ireland and CD reviews from loads of local and national bands. Issue 2 came out at this years Paddy's Day bash and features numerous CD reviews, live reviews and features on the local scene. It is the aim of the zine to centre it's attention on the local scene mainly and releases from small independent bands from Ireland etc. Anything sent in will get reviewed. Both of the first two releases are still available at €1 each. See the Contact us section. Issue 3 will be out in a few weeks and along with the usual live and CD reviews it will have loads of features and interviews with more up and coming local bands. Stay tuned for more.
