Ballymahon – Getting there

From Galway :

There is a bus running from Galway to Athlone every hour on the half hour starting at 6:30 am and finishing at 7:30 or 8:30 on Fridays.

The train to Athlone runs at 9.15 am, 3pm and 6:05 pm.

Once you’re in Athlone, Ballymahon is a 10 mile taxi run, so between you and 3 of your mates it’s about €5 each, or alternatively, if you arrive in Athlone at the appropriate times, you can catch the 9:05 am, 2:45pm or the 4:30 pm bus to Ballymahon which is about €3.

 From Dublin:

The exact same as Galway although train times may vary.
