NoMatrix

NoMatrix also hail from Athlone and have been together for 4 years or so in one form or another. The stable backbone of the band has been John on guitar and vocals and Hugh on bass with varying second guitarists and drummers in between. They recorded their debut EP 2 years or so ago and it sold pretty well. They embarked on a European tour in the Summer of 2002 but the band fell apart half way through. Not to be hindered they carried on and now seem to have a very steady line-up with Stephen from Evil Elviss also playing with them and Eamon drumming. They have their second EP recorded and mix it next week. It will be out just in time for their Irish tour in support of German band Lone who NoMatrix and no ego are bringing over for 10 days to tour the length and breadth of the country in June.

Global Assault

Global Assault are from Longford Town and are Darragh on guitar and vocals, Neil on bass, Mark on guitar & Killian on drums. They play lots of metal covers as well as some of their own heavy rocking tunes. They have played gigs in Dublin, Longford, Roscommon, Sligo and of course Paddy’s on many occasions as well as at the Longford and Cavan biker festivals over the last year.. They recorded a 3 or 4 song demo a while ago but never made it available. They have been relatively quiet recently and there is nothing in the pipeline for the foreseeable future. Let’s hope they keep it together.
