Adult Community based Lifelong Learning Education Centres provide opportunities for individuals to be actively involved in their own learning. The courses are provided during the day in response to the needs and requests of the local community, facilitating initial and return contact with education.

The courses lay the foundation from which progress is made on the educational ladder. Individuals, by taking one or more basic course may identify an interest and talent in a subject area and may if they wish, access the FETAC certification system which is designed to allow open access for learners at all levels.

The wide range of courses include.

• Artistic: Art, Creative Writing, Dance, Music, Drama
• Crafts: Flower Arranging, Needlecrafts, Patchwork, Upholstery, Cookery and Interior Design
• Counselling Personal Grief
• Exercise: Physical Exercise. Aerobics
• Guidance Educational, Vocational, Careers, Study Skills
• Health: First Aid, Healthy Living, Women's Health, Relaxation, Yoga
• Languages: Basic English, Communication, French, Irish
• Personal Development: Self esteem, Assertiveness, Leadership, Life Skills, Parenting
• Scientific Basic Maths, Computer
• Miscellaneous Legal studies, Environmental Studies
