This is on the Mallow-Killarney road, about 9 miles from Mallow. From Killarney, the monument is exactly 2.5 miles beyond the crossroads leading to Banteer to the right (only a mile away) and Kanturk on the left. From Mallow, pass the first road signpost for Kanturk/Newmarket and be on the lookout on the left-hand side of the road.

I was passing this for a while thinking it was a memorial to the American president.
