Ballydehob Community Council Ballydehob Community Council and Community alert was formed in 1993 to help promote the interests of Ballydehob and surrounding area, it is involved in many areas of local interest, including most recently the twining of Ballydehob with the French town of Bleden Bal Sizun. ( the charter was signed on 22 Sept. 1999 in France, and April 26 2000 in Ballydehob).
