Hazel Fernandes
Hazel recently starred as Mary Magalene in the UK tour of 'Jesus Christ Superstar'. She made her theatre debut playing the lead role in 'Heavenly Bodies' at the Leicester Haymarket, and appeared in 'Evita' at the Chelmsford Spectacular 1998. Hazel is currently appearing in 'Notre Dame de Paris' at the dominion Theatre London, playing the alternate leading role, Esmeralda.
Concert work includes touring with Tom Jones, All Saints Belinda Carisle, UK shows with Gabrielle, Lenny Henry, European dates with Tina Turner, Celine Dion and Tina Arena.
Television experiences covers 'Showstoppers' for the BBC, The Shane Richie Experience for Granada and a Michael Ball Special for Central TV. She has appeared on the Brits '98 and 2000 with Tom Jones and Robbie Williams and Tom jones and the Stereophonics, Top of The Pops with Lisa Stansfield, Surprise Surprise with Martine McCutcheon, and Parkinson with Gary Barlow.
Hazel has Recorded Albums for Tina Turner, Stereophonics, Dina Caroll, Chris De Burgh, Status Quo, Sarah Brightman, S Club 7 and Robson and Jerome. She can be heard on 'The Movies' album with Michael Ball and the 'Evita' and 'Beloved' film soundtracks.
