The main sports in our school are Gaelic football and basketball. Gaelic football is one of our national games, the other main one being hurling. Gaelic football is a game in which the ball can be played with either the hand or the foot. At inter-county level, the All-Ireland championship is played each year between the counties of Ireland. Our county ,Kerry has won the greatest number of All- Ireland titles(31 in all).  A number of players on the County team come from our neighbouring clubs. They are Denis O' Dwyer of Waterville, and the great Maurice Fitzgerald, of Caherciveen, who was national player of the Year in 1997.

Our school has been very successful in schools competitions. We won the County mini- sevens title in 1995 and 1996, not a bad record for a school of less than 100 pupils! Our girls have also competed each year, and many of them have gone on to win All- Ireland titles with their post- primary school. Two of our past pupils, Pádraig Sheehan and Aidan O' Connor,  played for the Kerry schools primary team in 1996. A number of our pupils have also played in Croke Park, Dublin on All- Ireland final day, (Donal O Sullivan, Dromeragh;  Declan O Sullivan,Dromid and Aidan O Connor, Dromnakilla.)

We are also very proud of past pupil Kieran (Bobby) O'Sullivan, who won an All-Ireland Minor( Under 18) title in 1995. He has also played on the county's Under 21 team.
