Pebble driveways and hybrid
driveways are a speciality of Clontarf Landscapes. Not many companies can
build a pebble driveway - how many times have you seen a pebble driveway
with deep wheel ruts, with pebbles halfway out to the road? This is not
something that you have to live with - this is bad landscape construction.
Our pebble and hybrid driveways are structurally solid, with all the attractive
"crunch" of pebbles without endless sweeping of pebbles gone astray. Even
if the parts where the car drives need solid brick paving, the edges of
the driveway can be in many different colours and textures of pebble where
pedestrian traffic puts no great pressure on the paving.
Note that pebbles need to be kept under control - edging in old
cobbles, in brick, or in old railway sleepers is essential. A step at the
house and a border at the gate keep the pebbles in place. These features
offer an opportunity for the landscape designer to give a Clontarf Landscapes
driveway the final touch.
