The Canooing Indian Song
(Does ANYONE know the proper name?)
Hey Ho,
Anybody Home?
Food, nor drink, nor money have I got,
But still,
I will,
Be Happy happy happy happy
Hey Ho.....
Here is the story that accompanies the song... "An indian is canooing up a river towards the campfire. As here draws nearer, his song becomes louder and louder, until he passes by the campfire on the shore, and canoes on down the river. His song then gets quieter and quieter until he can no longer be heard."

The Other Day...
The other day, (Repeat)
I met a bear, (Repeat)
Up in the woods, (Repeat)
Away up there, (Repeat)
The other day I met a bear, up in the woods away up there, (All Together)
I looked at him, He looked at me, I sized up him, he sized up me,
He said to me, why don't you run, I see you ain't, got any gun,
And so I ran, away from there, but right behind, me was that bear,
Just up ahead, I saw a tree, a great big tree, oh Lordie me, (?)
The nearest branch, was ten feet up, I'd have to jump, and trust my luck,
And so I jumped, into the air, but I missed that branch, away up there,
Now don't you fret, now don't you frown, 'cos I caught that branch, on the way back down,
And when I met, that bear once more, he was a rug, on the bedroom floor, (?)
All verses are repeated in the fashion of the first verse with the crowd repeating each line of the verse before all singing that verse together.
