Carrigdhoun is located in County Cork, the largest and most southerly
county in Ireland.
The region covers some fifty square miles south and west of Cork,
Ireland's second largest city.
Carrigaline, the principal town, is located in the Owenabue valley,
nine miles south of Cork City, at the head of the Owenabue Estuary
which forms part of Cork Harbour.
Four miles to the east of Carrigaline is the industrial base of the Ringaskiddy
lower harbour area.
