Welcome from Distant EdWelcome to Distant Ed - the Internet Resource for Distance Education Students of Dublin City University who are undertaking study for both the Diploma and Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology, awarded by Dublin City University. I am a part-time tutor at the University and currently teach students taking the Introductory module and Computing Level 1. I created the site primarily to offer assistance to my own students but hope that other students doing the same course and students studying for other modules - and even those in other Colleges - will benefit from Distant Ed. I include items of general interest on the site, including some book recommendations, study guides, exam tips, tips on doing assignments, and links to other useful sites. I hope the site will be a useful resource for my own students and for others. If you have any suggestions about material I might include on the site, advice for distance education students (perhaps gained from personal experience) or any the observations, please use the feedback form. I will try to accommodate all reasonable and practical suggestions where possible. |

You should all have your marks by the end of the week. Sorry for the delay in getting them marked. I hope to see you all on 8 September. Update 28 August 2001 - MIT Students I have uploaded the slides from the last tutorial, which you can access here. |
