My name is Gavin Downey. I picked this book because the name tortoise was spelt backwards . I thought the title was an unusal title for a book.Roald Dahl is a very famous author of children's books.Some of his other book titles are the BFG,which is the Big Friendly Giant, Georges Marvellous Medicine,Boy Tales of Childhood or Danny the Champion of the World,  Witches, Matilda and James and the Giant Peach.

Some of Roald Dahl books have been made into films and the most famous film I know of is Matilda . Roald Dahl was born in Wales in 1916 and died in 1990 at the age of 74 yr

The book I have just read was esiotrot. It  is about a man called Mr Hoppy and a lady called Mrs Silvers and a tortoise called Alfie . They live in the same apartment block and Mr Hoppys balcony overlooks Mrs Silvers balcony.

Mr.Hoppy is secretly in love with Mrs Silver and mrs silver is secretly in love with Mr.Hoppy . but the only love in Mrsilvers

life is her tortoise alfie which she has had for a very long time and she often weighs alfie but he has not got any bigger since she got him.

mr hoppy came up with a plan to impress mrs silver . he got her to say a backwards poem to alfie then Mr.Hoppy secretly put a

bigger tortoises onto mrs silvers balchony and takes alfie away mrs silver thought Mr.Hoppymr hoppy was the most clever man

she had ever met. they told each other of their love and soon they were married and lived happily ever after. you may wonder what became of alfie , mr hoppy returned him to the pet shop for free and alfie was bought by a litle girl and lived for many years and eventully he grew bigger by himself.
