Day
16 ~ Dear Diary --:
On May the 30th I was lucky, well I thought I was lucky to go home with
Eoin Flynn. He is a nice boy. At three o’clock I was put in a box and
off we went. Eoin usually gets off at the shop but today he got off down
by John O’Gradys house. It was raining so John and I ran down to the
homework club. Eoin had no homework so Shane, Eoin and I played a game of
rounders. Rounders is like a game of baseball. I think rounders is a good
game. Well later on in the day we had a game of charades. Charades is sort
of a word game. I didn’t get even one word right. At five o’clock we
went up the road to Eoins house. When we got in Eoins Mam asked him what
was that he had in the box ? Eoin said it was a mouse. Eoin’s Mam
started laughing. Eoin then opened the box and his mother looked inside.
“He’s a lovely little, chap,” she said. Eoin told her all about me
and where I was from. Then we sat down for dinner. We had chips and
burgers for dinner. They were delicious.
After that Eoin said I have a present for you. “A present for me “ I
asked. “Yes, Tuckamore, for you”. We went up stairs and there was a
little motorbike there for me. It was really nice of Eoin to do that for
me. I don’t get a lot of presents usually. I gave him a big hug. He went
all shy. The bike looked really brilliant. Eoin let me have a go on the
motorbike. I went 80mph round the room. It was really fun. At seven
o’clock we watched two episodes of THE SIMPSONS on telly. At eight
o’clock Eoin went back down to Beachmount on his bike and he had to
bring me. I would like to go to Eoins house again.
Morning came and I had a shower and a shave and then had my
breakfast. After that it was time to go to school. I was going on my bike
but I rolled over a toy man. His Mum said I would have to leave the bike
at home for to day. And that was my day with
Eoin Flynn
