No5) The end bits...........................
The sharp end needs to consist of an assortment of hooks
ranging from 6/0 to size one's. Long shank Aberdeen's accommodate the red gills
and jelly worms While size one wide mouth crab hooks are ideal for plaice and
dab. Beads flashing lights and sirens will help make up 'Big Bren' style
Christmas tree rigs.
No6) Baits..............................
Baits for inside the harbour are virtually the same as when
shore fishing. Crab, lug, rag and mackerel. Sandeel, razor, king rag and squid
also come into there own. Bait elastic is not as vital as when shore fishing but
its handy.
No7) Vital extras......................
Sun cream, polarised glasses a hat, wet weather gear and a
sharp bait knife are essential also bottled water and a packed lunch is a good
idea. You wont even get on the boat however without one of these A LIFE JACKET.
