The prominade extends for approx a mile, with a large section closed to traffic, with restaurants and bars etc

There is a large fun fair on a section of the prominade for the summer months, for the enjoyment of younger children

Open air market stalls are on a section of the prominade, where you can bargain for anything from paintings to jewelary, to leather goods to african timber carvings. There is a large market every Friday, to which you can take the bus from the apartment
