Acceleration

Each aircraft was loaded with 10 minutes worth of fuel and an air start at various altitudes was used. The aircraft were slowed to stall speed then auto level trim was applied. The time to 100mph was recorded.

These figures will help you judge if you can catch an enemy aircraft before it gets a good head of steam up... even if it's maximum level speed is higher that the aircraft you are in.
