Michael J. O'Leary - From Forest to Fingers: A new method of guitar making

Michael O’Leary is one of world's leading guitar makers. He has studied Spanish traditional guitar construction and materials selection in Spain with Jose & Liam Romanillos. The focus of his research has been the development of a design which combines the sweetness of tone typical of the Spanish tradition with increased volume, sustain and projection. His approach to building is to combine the finest elements of the traditional Spanish built guitar with contemporary materials, innovation and design. Michael's guitars have received very high praise by many of the world's most renowned concert guitarists.

Eamon Sweeney Baroque Guitar Lecture/Recital

Originally a busking rock guitarist, Eamon Sweeney graduated in 1999 from
Trinity College Dublin and the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama with a
First Class honours in guitar performance and since then has pursued a busy
teaching and performing career. Eamon has presented lectures and workshops
at international guitar festivals in Dundee, Bath and Dublin and recently
completed his PhD on 17th century guitar practices.
