Original Hedgerow, leg 1.

 

A bright spell on a dull day.

Just as I was mentioning brackets and crusts, I find this Meruliopsis corium - normally a crust - on a vertical branch, and forming a bracket (and a dangling 'cup'). The Tubaria furfuracea on the right  is a rare chance to use a small aperture and get a decent depth of field.

    

 

The trunks and branches of our local Ash always seem very pale. Perhaps the effect is enhanced by the ever present lichen.

Just above the stream is a fallen Elder branch which is only just attached at the fragmented edge shown on the right.

    

And yet the branch is still making new shoots:
