Local wasteland.

 

General thaw. Some rain all day.

Last May, I showed Glyphipterix simpliciella, a micro-moth. The common name is Cocksfoot Moth, and the larvae live inside the stems of Cocksfoot grass. They are maturing at this time of year, and can be found towards the top of the stem, beneath the covering of the top leaves. Length of larva: 3 mm.
