Pictures of Bombus bohemicus - the Gypsy Cuckoo Bumblebee from original Hedgerow, leg 2.

1 x Green-veined white, Male. 1 x Green-veined White, Female.

Bright and warm.

I found around six of these nectaring on Dandelions within a stretch of verge around 30 metres long. I've tried to capture as many of the interesting features as possible. The first picture shows the thorax shining through the short hair.

A main distinguishing feature is the rear leg: there is no pollen basket. I suppose these females must be nectaring between egg-laying sessions in the Bombus lucorum nests.
