Original Hedgerow, leg 2.

Frequent showers.

I've noticed a few smaller Click Beetles around this year. The specimen on the left is about 9mm long, whereas the usual Athous (right) is about 15 mm long. I've been through all my references and can't find a Click Beetle with triangular projections from the thorax.

Foxglove is just about to open.

Yet another metallic Weevil.

An Asilid, or Thick-headed Fly. Argyra leucocephala.

A Snipe Fly - Rhagio scolopacea. This is commonly known as the Down-looker due to its habit of perching on walls and plants with its head in a downward position. I'm pretty sure this one was just emerging from the undergrowth.

Scaly Male Fern is unrolling in all dimensions, making some interesting shots.
