Duller and colder, today. I got rather excited by yesterday's Cladonia, so I went back to see what else I could see.

Another close-up shot of yesterday's Cladonia. The podetia are about 1 cm tall. Perhaps Cladonia macilenta.

And yet another showing the close relationship with the moss - a Grimmia.

Two more lichens, both on Scots Pine. (Well, 3 lichens if you include the green crustose one)

The light was going as I saw this Usnea. They remind me of  brittle starfish in shape and structure.

Sample about 2 cm across.
