23rd June

Original Hedgerow, leg 1.

Dull, then heavy rain.

Bell Heather has been out for a week or so.

Another of the Cixiidae - related to the froghoppers.

I first showed Argyresthia pygmaeella on June 12. This shot had a bit more light.

On May 21st I showed a male Gold Swift moth. This is the female.

This is an interesting one. A larva of some kind has cut off part of a Willow leaf and then used it as a shelter. Little wisps of the silk spinnings can be seen at the edges of the shelter. I'd say it's a micromoth, but I don't know which one does this.

I haven't done much work on sedges, but I think this is Star Sedge - Carex echinata.

One of the Chrysopilus sp. Snipe Flies hiding between two leaves.
