Original Hedgerow, leg 2.

Dull, then heavy rain.

A powdery mildew on Meadowsweet. There are many.

Raspberries have set and fruit are just forming.

Greater Birdsfoot Trefoil has opened months after the ordinary one.

I must try to confirm an id for this very tall (1.5m.), elegant grass that forms a single tussock beside the road.

Now I know we're getting too far through the year. Hawthorn fruit.

Crested Dogs Tail (left ) and Yellow Sedge (right).

And just to finish, a couple of shots of the Puss Moth larva in the process of shedding its skin. In this instar you can just catch a first glimpse of the red 'face' behind the eyes.

It has more wrinkles and bumps and bits and pieces than I can justify.
