This Spruce Carpet moth landed briefly amongst the wet grass. It would be well camouflaged against the bark of a tree. Specimen about 2.5 cm. across as shown.

Three flies, now. First, two blowflies also known respectively as the Blue-bottle and the Green-bottle. And also this smaller member of the family. I can't get any closer identification without resorting to a microscope. About 1 cm. long. |
